Is the new Windows Phone OS already on it’s way to be jailbroken? Digi.no pointed me to a blog that describes how the author @ChrisWalshie has managed to gain root access to a Windows Phone 7 device.
The ball started to roll when a XDA-Developer forum member posted a message on the XDA-Developer forum about his finding of references to native objects in a Samsung developed Marketplace application.
Chris Walsh picked this up and created his proof of concept for gaining root access to the operating system. You can read more on Walsh’ blog here.
He’s also created two video’s published on YouTube that demonstrates the flaw in Windows Phone.
